At Bedford Academy we recognise and value the importance of working in partnership with parents. We listen to parents/carers and work together with them to ensure their children get the best out of their time here. All parents are able to contact key staff at the Academy by email, phone or in person and are welcomed to attend a number of events, including target setting and review days, parents’ evenings and information evenings during the school year.
During the academy day, parents/carers are encouraged to contact their child’s form tutor or Learning Village Leader if they have an urgent query. In addition to the support provided to all parents/carers, parents/carers of SEND students with more serious or complicated SEND needs will have an identified ‘key person’ at the academy, who will be their main point of contact and will also meet with them at least once every term to review their child’s progress and agree targets and strategies to ensure good progress. Parents/Carers are invited to attend the Access Coffee mornings/evenings throughout the year to give feedback and share ideas on the SEN support provided by the Academy. Refreshments will be provided.

‘We believe that, given the right circumstances, all children are capable of extraordinary things’
At Bedford Free School, we believe that every student is a unique individual who possesses talents and gifts that can be developed within the right learning environment.
“All members of the school community are respected and seen to have potential for improvement. Through effective teaching and learning, supporting and encouraging, together we can enable the fulfillment of that potential. We aim for success for all.”
KCA Inclusion Policy is a policy which supports the vision and aims of the school. The policy is linked to other policies in the school such as curriculum, SEN, differentiation, equal opportunities, health and safety, behaviour, anti-bullying, safeguarding, admissions and exclusion.
We aim to provide a stimulating learning environment across the whole curriculum which maximises individual potential and ensures that students of all ability levels are well equipped to meet the challenges of education, life and work. We are committed to providing our students with a broad, balances and enriched curriculum, which is accessible to all. Students should be fully included in all aspects of school life. At KCA we aim to create a sense of community and belonging, and to offer opportunities to students to realise their potential, including those who may have experienced previous difficulties and those who are particularly able. This does not mean that we will treat all learners in the same way, but that we will respond to learners in ways which take account of their varied needs and life experiences"
We believe that every child is unique. Our aim is to provide a broad, balanced, personalised learning experiences that will enable them to be healthy, stay safe, enjoy and achieve, make a positive contribution and to achieve economic well-being.
We believe everyone has the right to education, so we take a high-quality school environment and deliver it via the internet. Nisai is the only online provider in the UK to have a full Ofsted inspection, achieving a grading of ‘Good’. We provide live online classes taught by qualified subject-specific teachers across the country for students studying Key Stage 3, 4 or 5. Our goal is to ensure that every student can complete their education and gain accredited academic and vocational qualifications such as Functional Skills, GCSEs and A Levels.
At Rushmoor we aim to enable pupils to acquire the knowledge, wisdom and self-discipline appropriate for life-long learning, employment and adult life. To achieve this aim we ensure that all pupils have the opportunity to develop their intellectual, physical and creative gifts, across a broad and balanced curriculum.
We promote the personal development of pupils, encouraging lively and enquiring minds, respect for themselves and others as well as a high regard for truth. We encourage self-confidence, integrity, social responsibility and awareness in students. Pupils learn to show respect and active concern for their school surroundings and for the wider environment.
Our aim is to provide an environment in which every pupil can achieve the highest standards in all aspects of school life in preparation for the challenges of the future. The stability and security of continuous education on one site, spanning the age range from 2 – 16 years is a major factor in helping us achieve this.
Developing the Individual
We place a major emphasis on the individual, recognising that all children are different, and we value each and every one in their own right. Each child has his or her own talents and abilities and we aim to encourage each one to develop their own special strengths and to grow in confidence and self-esteem to find their role in the community. Happiness is the first essential in this.
Through our pastoral care system, we aim to help each child to develop their potential in both academic and extra-curricular fields by encouragement, understanding and a close working relationship between children, staff and parents.
Whilst every effort is made to draw out the academic potential of each individual, we consider it equally important that the children should grow up to be confident, caring, honest and responsible young people, capable of making a positive contribution to the society in which they live and work.
We strongly uphold the Christian principles in as far as they refer to the way in which we behave towards each other. In practise, it means that we teach our children honesty, integrity, compassion and a true respect for all around them.
At Sharnbrook Academy Federation we want the highest possible standards of education and care for all students. This is an organisation where students achieve well and enjoy their learning. Each student is encouraged to make their own positive contributions, which will be valued by the whole community. Their health, safety and well-being is understood and promoted.
We aim to create a school community in which every pupil matters and thrives. We provide each young person with the opportunity for personal, emotional and intellectual growth. We aim to ensure that every student fulfils their potential and can excel.
To support and challenge every learner at all times to achieve their personal best leading to improved life and career opportunities.
