The Inclusion Project is an innovative initiative that is aimed at adults with learning difficulties (16+). It is a community based project that promotes a healthy, social and inclusive environment for our participants throughout all our activities. We help our participants develop social relationships with their peers in the community while promoting a healthy lifestyle and accessing activities with staff. We also help develop independence through our activities (please see our leaflet)
We run for 50 weeks of the year, participants can choose to access our service 1-5 days a week both term time and during holidays depending on their situation. We fit around college/school timetables and other commitments on a personalised basis.
We will be expanding to activities in the evenings and Saturdays in the future.
Tumble Tots is the leading active physical play programme for Pre-school children. It is designed to help children's skills of agility, balance, co-ordination and climbing whilst boosting their self-confidence and self-esteem. We have classes for 6 months - walking (Gymbabes), walking to 2s, 2-3s and 3-5s and each class is specifically designed for that age-group and ability. The classes are weekly and are 45 mins long and consist of varying amounts of structured play on equipment consisting of wooden ladders, planks, trestles etc, softplay and tunnels along with 'circle time' where we do songs and rhymes to help with learning body parts and language.
We have 3 or 4 classes each morning (Monday - Friday) for different age groups. Class times are available on the website. Centres are in Bedford, Flitwick,Sandy, Langford and Clapham.
We are not trained in special needs but have had several children with mild physical conditions who have come and really enjoyed themselves and have gained a lot of confidence.
