Kids

We support over 13,500 disabled children, young people and their families every year by delivering over 120 services throughout England.

KIDS is unique; there is no other organisation dedicated to providing such an extensive range of services to disabled children and young people, aged 0-25 years, irrespective of their impairment or condition.

Sing And Sign

‘Sing and Sign’ combines a music group with the chance to learn some useful signs that will encourage early communication with your child. It is aimed at all children from 0 to 30 months, ie pre-speech and as speech is developing, whether they are developing normally or have a hearing impairment, developmental delay or communication difficulties.

Studies have shown that use of baby signing can lessen frustration in babies and toddlers, develop the language centres of the brain and stimulate learning and understanding in general. Signing also helps to develop positive social skills and effective parenting.

Each class lasts 45 minutes including age-appropriate signing, action songs, instruments, props and visual aids.
