The key purpose of our setting is to offer care and education to children from 6 weeks until 4 years.
We are happy to work with families on an individual basis i.e. regards to any educational needs alongside other professionals who are involved in their care. Their additional requirement are considered when forward planning and where possible offering one to one time or small groups. We do not have any limitation on the amount of time we will support a child and their family.
St Marks Church Preschool, we are full time carers for children aged 2 years - 5 years. We have three rooms all on ground level. There is easy access from the car park for wheelchair users. We have a disabled toilet, big enough to take a wheelchair and carer.
All activities are based around the EYFS. We have just employed a member of staff who is working 1-1 with a child with multiple disabilities.
We provide an outstanding early years education for children aged between two years and five.
We run five sessions a week with two all day sessions that include a lunch session.
We have a ramp and the building has all over access for wheelchairs.
We can help families and children with additional needs to access other services and provide them with support for the whole family.
Purpose is day care and education for babies and children 6 weeks to 5 years. Haven 2000 holds "shine a Light" award given by the Communication Trust. Staff are practiced in Makaton signing and supporting children with communication needs. There are two SENCOs who train staff how to make reasonable adjustments for existing and new children with SEN and Disabilities and how to support Families. Each child has an individual plan and a key person. Support is in usual ratios.
We are a playgroup and offer childcare service for children aged 2.5 - 5 years, when they go on to school, term time only. We are in receipt of the government funding for 2 year olds if parents are entitled and 3-4 year old funding.
We follow the children’s lead and plan focused activities based on topics ie: the weather, People who help us, festivals.
We are a day nursery taking children from 6 weeks to school age. We provide transition information to the school that the child will move on to, after taking the permission of parents to do so.
We offer a full EYFS curriculum in all our rooms and we employ an Early Years Teacher 3 days a week. We accept childcare vouchers. We offer fully inclusive activities and continually assess the individual needs of all children in our care.
We are a Playgroup/Pre-school with a 2 year room. We also provide Breakfast and Afterschool clubs for children who attend Springfield and Camestone Lower Schools. We also have a Holiday club for children up to the age of 8 years 11 months.
All sessions are open to any child with special needs or disabilities.
