The main aim of pre-school is to provide care and education for children aged 2 years 6 months – 5 years. We aim to provide a safe, secure and welcoming environment where children are valued as individuals and where they can learn by playing together. We believe that young children learn best through play and aim to provide a range of activities that capture children’s interests and imaginations and help them to learn new concepts and develop their skills. We will support children and families until the children move on to school.
The Pre-school has links with the Toddler group which meets in the same space and families are very welcome to attend these sessions on Wednesday afternoons from 1.30-3pm.
We have 3 staff members who are qualified SEND and will support and tailor individual educational plans accordingly, and where possible, include children into our everyday activities and events.
To provide a summer holiday playscheme for children with a learning disability age between 4-18yrs.
The child needs to have a statement of Special Educational Needs.
The scheme promotes holiday fun in a relaxed atmosphere, with up to 60 children in attendance every day. Activities range from swimming, sports, art, yoga, animal visits, magic shows, flower arranging, tennis, art, cooking and gymnastics.
We are open for 15 days, lots of qualified and experienced staff, with the addition of volunteers (young people) to support the children.
We can offer support for a range of needs. For children who may find a busy environment difficult, we would need to plan carefully and ensure our service can offer the right support.
We provide quality education and care for children aged 3 months to 5 years
Cheeky Monkeys Two is a full day care nursery and we cater for children aged 3 months to 5 years and are able to take children with special educational needs and disabilities. We work closely with the Early Years Support Team at the Child Development Centre in Kempston and where necessary we can refer a child for assessment and when needed will appoint a 1 to 1 key person who works with the child and their fairly to ensure they get the most out of the setting.
We work with the EYFS framework and all of our learning is through play. All of our activities and resources are accessible to all.
Jumping Jack’s primary role is to provide outstanding Care and Education for children under the age of 5 years. Our extremely comprehensive, exciting and fun curricula programme, provides a solid and robust foundation for all the children to learn, develop and grow in their own way and time. All the children benefit from a ‘Free Flow’ system which allows every child to access every activity and resource at their leisure with the constant support and engagement of our team of professional staff. Through careful and constant monitoring we are able to quickly identify children with additional needs which in turn increases their outcomes. We also work closely with every parent to ensure all the children within our setting are reaching their full potential and to identify any further external support such as Speech Therapy, Paediatricians, Health Visitors and Social Workers.
I look after children before and afterschool assisting with their development, nutrition and play.
The key purpose of our setting is to offer care and education to children from 6 weeks until 4 years.
We are happy to work with families on an individual basis i.e. regards to any educational needs alongside other professionals who are involved in their care. Their additional requirement are considered when forward planning and where possible offering one to one time or small groups. We do not have any limitation on the amount of time we will support a child and their family.
Purpose is day care and education for babies and children 6 weeks to 5 years. Haven 2000 holds "shine a Light" award given by the Communication Trust. Staff are practiced in Makaton signing and supporting children with communication needs. There are two SENCOs who train staff how to make reasonable adjustments for existing and new children with SEN and Disabilities and how to support Families. Each child has an individual plan and a key person. Support is in usual ratios.
