In Bedford Borough, Bedfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group (BCCG) commission most of our health services. Their aim is to “help children and young people start a healthy lifetime”. Read more about the BCCG.

In April 2013 the responsibility for Public Health was transferred to Local Authorities. A lot of work is being done by Bedford Borough Council to impact positively on public health issues, and in particular, the clear health inequalities between different communities.
