JelliTots Baby & Toddler Group

What our service does

We are a baby and toddler group for children up to age 3 and their parents and/or other family members. We provide toys for babies and young children, a craft or other special activity each week, plus a song and story time at the end of the session.

All children in the age-range are welcome, and hope that all parents and other adults attending find the group a friendly, supportive environment both for themselves and for their children.

Location of our service

We meet in the Church Lane Community Centre, on Church Lane in Goldington (next to Aldi). Anyone is welcome to attend, whether they live in the Goldington area or elsewhere.

Who our service provides for

Babies and children under 3 years old, and their parent(s) or other family members.

How to start using our service

Please feel free to just come along to the group. We normally charge £1 per family per session, but the first session you attend is free, so you can find out more about us. There are no waiting lists - do just turn up.

How decisions are made about who can use our service

The service is open to all babies and children under three.

How we communicate with our service users

We usually just chat with parents / other carers who attend to tell them about the group, and hear their views about it. We also have an introductory leaflet given to all who attend for the first time.

Sometimes a little signing is used when we are singing songs, depending on which person is leading the songs that day.

Accessibility of our service

The building is fully accessible, there is a public car park outside (no charge for this) and buses stop not far away. There is a disabled toilet, and a changing table suitable for babies and toddlers.

Qualifications and training of our staff

The staff are all volunteers from Hope Church, Goldington (the church which set up and runs the group). Volunteers have no specific training for supporting children with special educational needs (unless they have received such training individually in their own careers or previous voluntary work). However all volunteers at the group are CRB checked and there have been safeguarding training sessions made available for volunteers.
