What our service does
We are a preschool run from a local church. We take children from the ages of 2 - 5 years.
Location of our service
We are based in Kempston, Bedford. Children can attend from any area.
Who our service provides for
We can only take children from 2 - 5, due to Ofsted regulations. We are able to cater for children with any disabilities within this range.
How to start using our service
Contact can be made by the carer/parent. Home visits are available. Carers/Parent can call and would be given a guided tour with every concern explained eg. funding, fees and waiting lists.
How decisions are made about who can use our service
The committee makes the decisions regarding the pre-school. The committee is made up of parents, so everyone can have their say and all decisions are valuable.
How we communicate with our service users
We have notices that are placed on our board, newsletters are given out every half term. We use the Child Development Centre for translation.
Every child has a key person and a personal development folder.
Training is often offered to parents for basic childcare.
Accessibility of our service
The church has parking facilities and is on a main public transport route. We have wheelchair access at the main entrance, also there is disabled and toilet facilities and changing room.
Qualifications and training of our staff
All staff have up to date SENDCo and safe guarding. We work closely with the children's centres, and the Child Development Centre.
